Gineco.eu Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology continues tradition established by Gineco.ro Journal, which was indexed by the Web of Science (Journal Citation Index Expanded and Journal Citation Report), a Thomson Reuters Database, starting from 2008 until 2012 (volume 8, issue 1, February).
Currently, Gineco.eu Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology is BDI indexed, by Elsevier Bibliographic Database: SCOPUS.
The quarterly publication of the journal was launched in 2008. The publication has 52 pages and a circulation of 2,000 copies for each edition. The editorial concept and approach are oriented to the actual topics and issues that concern gynecology specialists. Since 2008, starting with volume 3, the journal was indexed by Elsevier Bibliographic Database: Scopus. Starting with the February 2009 edition, the journal was already published in both Romanian and English.
Gineco.eu Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the four Romanian medical journals on gynecology and one of the several specialized journals that enjoy international recognition and indexing. Its publication is dedicated to health professionals, with national coverage that specifically addresses to gynecologists and specialists in the following medical fields: maternal/fetal medicine, gynecologic-urology, gynecologic-oncology, infertility, neonatology, endocrinology-gynecology, genetics, molecular biology and gynecologic ultra-sounds.
Gineco.eu Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology is accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians, subscribers receiving 5 points of Continuing Medical Education.
The journal reflects a full range of scientific contributions regarding several different scientific disciplines related to obstetrics and gynecology sciences.
The editorial policy encourages prompt publication of papers, in less than 3 months of average waiting time, after the submission of the manuscript.
